If you check behind items of furniture, such as bookcases, sofas, even tables, or any dark areas, and you see areas where the carpet has been almost worn away, it is probable that you have a carpet moth, which is a close cousin to the clothing moth.

Information about the treatment of these carpet moths will be posted in the news section of the website, but it is worth checking your home for the signs of a carpet moth, which are bare patches in dark areas, mysterious wear patterns, and in extreme cases, actual carpet moths themselves, they do seem more prevalent during the dark months of winter.
